Ximen 35 Hotel

The room is big, cosy and comfort. It is more than enough for 3 adults with 3 big luggage. It feel like stay in own house, very comfort. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The location was excellent since it was in the Ximending area. The room was comfy and clean; but not the corridor.

It was very hard to find since there was no name of the hotel. The only name HOSTEL Next 9F. The elevator was cramped and covered in plyboard and pieces of wood (to prevent things from falling?). Reception at the 9th Floor also was for the hostel. The hotel, if you called it a hotel, was on the 4th floor. The "hotel" is composed of a few rooms sharing a corridor with other privately owned units. The corridor had seen better days. Some of the plaster had peeled off and the pant was faded and grimy. I would say that Ximen 35 would qualify as an Airbnb and not a hotel. Breakfast was provided in another location. We decided to just stay overnight at the "hotel" and transfer to another one the next day.

The service of the staffs are impeccable, they are extremely helpful and polite. The location is great, it is close to the metro station and have many food options around.

This place is basically a 'PRIVATE ROOM IN A HOSTEL' rather than a 'hotel'. I felt cheated when finding out that this place is actually a hostel. Upon arrival at the entrance, there is no sign indicating '35 hotel', instead the sign shows '9F hostel'. The private rooms are on a separate floor from the hostel rooms. The common area leading to your room is extremely run down and old, It looks more like an old social housing. The other rooms on the same floor is not part of the hostel and has private tenants in them. The room is exactly like what you see in the photos. Simple and has all the essentials. Our room shower head holder was broken. The hostel lobby and lounge at 9th floor are probably the most decent area. There are washing machines and dryer free to use. If you open the window at night there will be noise, so you will need to close the windows. The main door of the building is not locked and is opened to the public all day until 10pm. Anyone can enter the building. There was one dodgy woman who entered to the hotel floor, she walked aimlessly on our floor and tried to open our neighbor's door without a key. Did not feel secure staying here and will not return.

The staffs are very friendly. Place serves unlimited coffee and tea. You can use the washing machine and dryer for free. The location is great as we are located at central Ximending.

We rented a room for 4. While the reception area and common pantry looks cool and hipster-ish, the lift and pathway leading to the room (which is on the other floor) is a nightmare. The area smells like raw pork / meat. So basically, it's like a very old shop lot with multiple floors. Reception is at the higher level. And the hotel probably purchased 2-3 units on one of the floor. After checking in, the staffs brought us to Level 4, where our room is. The lift is awful. Our neighbors are basically local residents, and Level 4 stinks so bad. It really not a comfortable pleasant experience.

1. Central Location, in the heart of Ximending. 2. Friendly and helpful concierge staff. 3. Nice room decor and spacious. 4. Spacious “cafe” for networking with free coffee and tea. 5. Free usage of washing machine.

1. Quadruple Room unit is same floor as residents units - it would be better to specify so that guests can be mentally prepared. 2. No full length mirror in the room. 3. Only 1 old lift that can take long time to wait even during off peak hours.

Booking was under xiamen35 Horel but it is actually a hostel with a few studio rooms Hallway leading to d so call family room is like low cost flat passage way Very misleading n not suitable for family stay

The location is very convenient just a 5 mins walk to Mrt Ximen station and the staff is very nice. You have to look for the next hostel taipei sign and check in on 9th floor but the room is actually on 4th floor.

The room is same as the photo shown in the Booking.com. The room is very large for our 4 person with 4 big suitcases. There 2 queen size bed. Highly recommend for the family. You can enjoy your street food, local food and shopping in the Ximending area. Easier for you to go to the apartment from the MRT, Ximen Station, Exit 6. Just a few minutes.

Everything is great. The only thing that I will claim is about the smoking smell through the toilet as the place is an apartment so some room in the building has a smoking so the smell will come to our room via the toilet. The breakfast shall be improved. However, it is OK for us as we can find the local food for our breakfast in front of the hotel.

The staff were so nice. The living room was comfortable and the location was good for city traveller.

The sign in front of the building was unclear and difficult to find the place at first. The walk way to the room on 4th floor was not so clean. However, inside the room was so good.

Great location, helpful staff and really big private room with private bathroom. Is in the center of Ximen, so it's great when you will like to do some shopping and you don't want to carry a shopping bags throughout the whole city.

Private room is on a different level, and you go there with a dirty, stifling corridor. The windows were not well soundproofed and air conditioning was too noisy.
